MIC is an ideal alternative calculator for those working with individual numeracy needs.
MIC uses the same inverted keypad as the mobile phone and most other common numeric pads such as ATMs, telephones and remote controls.
MIC provides audio feedback when keys are pressed and differentiates between numeric, operator and function key presses.
MIC displays the entire sum all through the calculation.
MIC uses the modern oblique (/) for the division rather than the older the same as mobiles and spreadsheets.
MIC forces premeditation when carrying out calculations by asking for which operators to display, mobiles do the same by having only one operator key or menu from which the operator is chosen.
MIC offers different levels of precision; remainders which are commonly used with basic skills students; two decimal places for use in monetary situations and six decimal places for metric work, which is sufficient to shift through two major metric units e.g. from mm to m to km.
The cancel button does not obliterate the entire sum, but backs up by one stage with each press.

Feel the adrenaline rush with this easy to learn, but hard to master 3D action/puzzle game. Sammy Suricate places the player in fantasy world of Lion Land, where he explores fantastic environments while searching for the magical gems to escape from Lion Land. Being in Lion Land means that Sammy will find himself hunted by amazing species of Lions, including Rasta-Lions, Hippie-Lions, Rocker-Lions and more. These Lions have 2 objectives in mind, protecting the gems and finding out how suricates taste. The player’s task is to help Sammy escape, avoid the Lions and find the gems, armed with nothing more than Sammy’s wits, speed and wasps. The game comes with a forgiving learning curve. The initial tutorial stages are simple enough for even inexperienced gamers, and teach players the basic controls as well as how to interact with the objects in Lion Land. After this, the player can move on to two other level sets with higher difficulty levels. The Jump and Run levels will be familiar to players of classic action games, as it marks the first appearance of the dreaded Lions. Players must now explore the environment with the basic skills they learned in previous levels, while defeating lions using lethal wasps. It is in the Think and Run levels where Sammy Suricate truly stands out. Unlike other action games which merely involve finding buttons and keys to unlock doors, certain exits in Lion Land can only be unlocked by specific gems. These special gems can only be created by merging the correct gems. Since Sammy can only carry one gem at a time, players must plan the order in which they collect and merge the gems. Sammy Suricate features addictive gameplay where a sharp mind is just as important as fast reflexes. It combines fast packed action, exploration, puzzle and platform elements in a seamless realtime environment with exhilarating music and sound effects into an entertaining game that is sure to satisfy action and puzzle gamers of all ages.

PlayBasic is a game making tool, based upon the Easy-To-Use Basic programming language. It was developed by game enthusiasts for game enthusiasts, and incorporates more than 20 years experience in the field. Our aim was to produce a language that offers same 'sit down and play' experience of older basics had, but with a more modern feature set. So everybody can experience the fun of game making again !
Since PlayBasic focuses on game creation, it includes a wealth of graphical features. Ranging from Mapping (Creating worlds), Sprites, Image effects, Cameras, Shapes, Texture Mapping through to a full set of traditional 2D vector art (Dots/lines/boxes through to polygons).
Sprite capabilities are one the most critical parts of any game creation tool. PlayBasics sprite engine not only supports Rotation / Scaling / Flipping, but various real time image manipulation effects such as Alpha Blending (Variable, Additive, Subtractive), logical masking through to Raster Bar and real time Colour Replacement just to name a few.
But, what would good is a game making tool without a good collision system ? Virtually useless ! So we've included seven different collision methods. Including Pixel Perfect Collision, Rect, Rotated Rect, Circular, Polygonal, Sliding and Sticky Collision modes. Moreover, you can mix vector collision modes with pixel perfect collision and vice versa. Making PlayBasic's collision system arguably the most advanced available!

PlayBasic comes with a comprehensive code editor, built in Debugger, Tools and over 400 hundred examples to get you started. Moreover, we are always open to your feedback! We want PlayBasic to be as powerful, flexible and of course as much FUN as possible.
So if you're like me and remember when programming was fun, or you’d just like to start learning, then give then give PlayBasic a try !
