Have you ever noticed that your computer's clock isn't very accurate?dfg AtomicTimeSync XP is a professional Time Synchronization Utility to synchronize your PC via the internet. This can be done manually or automatically. It queries one of the National Institute of Standards and Technology timeservers, which then returns the correct standard time. It works through firewalls and proxy servers and supports 12(AM/PM) and 24 hour time format incl. all time zones and daylight savings correction. The standard time is converted to local time and compared with the internal system time on the computer, and adjustments are made accordingly. Optional time check automatically after Windows / program start and the Internet connection is available. Beside that you can define an individual time offset- which is a nice feature for travelling notbook users. On top of all the program talks to you. If you need more time related automation functions, please check the d.f.g freeware program dfg ShutDown XP.

UserTime is software for recording and analyzing the time you spend on your computer. It runs in the background and tracks the time each user has been logged on as well as the time they have been actively using the computer. You can view usage history as a quick summary or by viewing or printing one of the reports or graphs. There are configurable options available for each report so you can easily view statistics over a range of days and times. The software can be set to run automatically when you log-on. It can then be set to run as an icon in the notification area of your taskbar (system tray).
UserTime can be installed in a network environment with a central data file. This allows comparison of activity time and computer running time for users on different computers.
UserTime can also help manage the time you spend on your projects. It features multiple stopwatches that can keep a record of the time you spend on separate projects. The time on each stopwatch can be individually saved. You can close a stopwatch and load it again later keeping the previous times. Stopwatches record total running time as well as the time you have been active. If you are timing a project on your computer when you are distracted by something else and forget to pause the stopwatch, the “active time” counter will still show you the time you were actively working on the project, it will automatically pause when you stop using your computer.
Some practical applications for UserTime include:
- Keeping track of your personal computer time
- Help prevent too much wasted time on chat-rooms or games
- Help your children establish boundaries regarding time on the computer
- Record the time you spend on different projects
- Help allocate computer time for shared computers
- In schools for monitoring students computer usage
- In the workplace for monitoring staff computer usage
A 30 day trial of UserTime is available as a free download from www.usertime.com |
