Graphest DepthDither is a free filter plug-in for Photoshop, it mainly concerns on generating color dither in Photoshop. When you wants to use the image on LCD screen, such as mobile phone, the color depth is not 24 bit, and mostly it's 16 bit. If the image fills with gradient colors, the screen will display color steps, not continuous color. If you use the DepthDither to process the image, the result on PC and on mobile phone will be the same. DepthDither uses 3 ways to make the image seems to be continuous when the color is below 24 bit. It's just like Photoshop, provides diffusion, pattern and noise as the dither modes. You can choose the destination color depth, such as 2 bit, 4 bit, 12 bit, 15 bit, 16 bit, 18 bit, this is the main difference from Photoshop, the latter only provides less than 256 colors mode.

The CORE engine includes advanced matrix operations and statistical techniques so that CalMAN users do not suffer from errors and inaccuracies caused by unnecessary rounding of critical input variables or by the use of inappropriate or inefficient estimation models.
CalMAN also provides four selectable formulas for computing gamma targets, as well as the ability to tweak the gamma coefficient itself. This gives users the ability to create luminance targets that take into account the realities of users’ viewing environments.
In addition to offering a wide array of built-in charts, graphs, reports, and data display formats, CalMAN also allows extremely flexible customization. Using CalMAN’s Design Mode, you can create the information layout you want.

New Pigment is a picture viewer for colorblind people. It aids in modifying the colors of images and pictures so that those with specific color-blindness can easily view the images. New Pigment works only with the abnormal color sensitivity (-anomaly), not the missing of color-sensitive pigment (-anopia).
How Does It Work? The Science Behind Colorblindness...
New Pigment changes the color that a colorblind person cannot see (the defective color) by a small amount (up to 13 levels of change are possible). While it adjust this color, the defective color moves towards another color making a shift in the color sensitivity curves that the colorblind eye can see. For example, green color may shift towards red, so some of the "greenish" colors will look like "reddish" colors. The defective color may be recovered by applying slight modifications of both the brightness and the saturation of the three basic colors of each pixel of the image (Red Green and Blue), to oppose the defective color shift. |
