The program includes more than 340 categorized recipes that you can sort and try, along with a grocery list generator that lets you add ingredients from the recipe or pick from a general shopping list. A new menu planner function rounds out the recipe portion of this program. A conversion table quickly shows common cooking measurements. Other menu choices include a household budget, a set of calculators, a collection of witty sayings, a cost-through-the-years chart and a historical recap so you can check what was happening on the year you were born. The Tightwad Personal Budget program is easy to use and quick to setup and install. It teaches users how to set up and maintain a home budget. Users can select from common budget categories (i.e., electric bill) and enter custom categories. Expenses and income are then recorded by the user. Monthly reports show the status of the budget and are printable. They include a Savings Percentage, which outlines the percentage of income saved or lost each month and a Budget Allocation report that goes into further detail by showing the amount of income remaining in each budgeted category for a given month or year. Other features include a help menu and options screen allowing users to change the look of the program. The budgeting program is free for 30 days allowing users to see if the program is a fit for them. After the trial, it can be purchased for only $12.00.
