This is the latest version as of January 2003. This version program includes all features the DSSF3 has as of January 30, 2003. (The DSSF3 is our best sound measurement/analysis software and has been frequently updated.)Quality sound measurement software equivalent to at least US$10,000 hardware. The software license of RAL costs just US$24, but RAL is more functional than the usual FFT analyzer. General realtime measurement function is entirely included.
It has the signal generator and FFT analyzer for supervising distortion of the frequency characteristic, a S/N ratio, and a volume level. It can be used broadly from a home audio, and a car audio to a concert hall.

Perform audio, acoustical and vibrational measurements user-friendly, accurate and flexible using a sound card. WinMLS2000 is widely used by professionals. Now low-cost versions allow the amateur to perform professional loudspeaker and room measurements. User friendliness is ensured through default setups for the standard measurements (e.g. sound system calibration, THD+N and harmonic distortion, reverberation time in rooms. Portable and lightweight measuring equipment, using blank pistol and laptop PC. Flexible hardware, most soundcards are supported (>50 have been tested). Input and output levels can easily be set using the built-in software mixer. The mixer levels can easily be calibrated. Calibration of hardware allows for measurement of absolute levels such as voltage and SPL. Calibration of microphone using either calibrator or nominal microphone sensitivity. Can be upgraded to 24 channels with sample-accurate synchronization (sound card dependent). Supports selection from multiple sound cards. Sampling rates up to 96 kHz in standard version. Special version is able to measure above 100 kHz using sampling rate 215 kHz (sound card dependent). High signal to noise ratio, using internally generated MLS loudspeaker signals with optional low-frequency boosting or speech filters. Measurement modes: MLS, sinusoid, user defined excitation and scope. (Swept sine excitation will be included). Influence of measurement system can be subtracted. Auto-name generator for saving data. Can use standard WAV, ASCII, MLSSA TIM file formats. Initial time delay (distance from loudspeaker to microphone) can be measured sample-accurate with all supported sound cards. Toolbars can be removed from the user interface to maximize the screen area used to display the plot(s). Data can be exported, or plotted using powerful graphics. Full and third-octave band analysis, dBA, dBB, dBC and waterfall plots. Many features for comparing several curves in a plot. |
